A special meeting with the officials and staff of the Palmyrah Development Board (PDB) was held on 13 October 2026 at the Palmyrah Development Board Auditorium, Jaffna, under the leadership of Hon. Sundaralingam Pradeep, Deputy Minister. The meeting was attended by Mr. R. Raveethiran, Chairman of the Palmyrah Development Board, along with senior officials, managers, and staff members of the Board.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on several key matters, including the Ceylon Palmyrah Villages Project, income and expenditure of the Katpaham Establishment, exhibitions and mobile sales programmes, progress of the Capital Fund, and administrative and institutional requirements.
The discussion focused on reviewing ongoing activities, addressing operational challenges, improving institutional efficiency, and strengthening initiatives aimed at the sustainable growth and development of the palmyrah industry.
