In celebration of Thai Pongal, marking the first day of the Tamil month Thai in the year 2026, the Thai Pongal festival was joyfully held on 16 January 2026 at the Head Office of the Palmyrah Development Board in Kaithady, Jaffna.
The event was conducted under the patronage of Mr. R. Raveenthiran, Chairman of the Palmyrah Development Board. Senior officials, managers, Head Office staff, and employees of the Board participated in the celebration and contributed to its success.
Held in accordance with traditional customs, the Thai Pongal celebration reflected unity, gratitude, and rich cultural heritage, and was marked by happiness and enthusiasm.
