Today (09.11.2025), the new Katpaham Sales Outlet was inaugurated with traditional ceremonies at the Pannai Road, Uppuveli, Trincomalee at 11.00 a.m.
The 15th branch of the Palmyrah Development Board, the second Kalpaham sales outlet in the Trincomalee District, opening ceremony under the chairmanship of Mr. R. Raveenthiran, Chairman of the Palmyrah Development Board, and was ceremonially declared open by Hon. Deputy Minister Sundaralingam Pradeep, as the Chief Guest. Special guests included Hon. Arun Hemachandra, M.P., Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, Hon. Roshan Akmeemana, M.P., Member of Parliament for Trincomalee District, Mr. W.G.M. Hemantha Kumara, District Secretary of Trincomalee, and Mr. N. Mathivanan, Divisional Secretary of Trincomalee.
Representatives of the Hon. Deputy Minister’s Staff, Mr. S. Srivijeindran, Deputy General Manager of the Palmyrah Development Board Dr. B. Suthaharan, Marketing Manager and the Marketing Division Team, and Trincomalee District officers and staff of the Board participated and graced the occasion.
