A special event titled “Empowering the Palmyrah Industry and Awarding of Certificates” organized by the Palmyrah Development Board under the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure will be held on November 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Urban Council Hall, Batticaloa.
The event will take place with the presence of Hon. Sundaralingam Pradeep, M.P., Deputy Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure, as the Chief Guest. Mr. J. S. Arulraj, District Secretary of Batticaloa, and Krishnagopal Thilaganathan, Batticaloa District Coordinator of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land, Irrigation & Livestock, will participate as Special Guests. Mrs. V. Shivappiriya, Divisional Secretary of Manmunai North (Batticaloa), will attend as the Guest of Honor.
The program aims to recognize contributions to the Palmyrah industry and award certificates to participants, marking continued efforts to strengthen and develop the sector.
